Be Merry

I've slowly been building our Christmas decoration collection over the last few years, and its finally starting to pay off. The collection I chose is Target's Be Merry collection. Its fun, festive, and not colors I normally use, so its a nice escape for the holidays.

Every year I go the morning after Christmas and get all the stuff I can for 50% off. I check back as they drop the prices to 75% off, etc., but around these parts its slim pickings by that point. I am proud to say that I've amassed quite the collection without ever having to pay full price.

So, here's what I've put together this year:

This wreath is one of my favorite things.  Simple, but charming.  I had that plain old wreath lying around, so I popped on a couple ornaments, tied it up with a ribbon and voila!  I utilized the cluster of three ornaments thing that is in this year, and I love it.  To do it, just attach three ornaments together with floral wire or something of the sort, and then hang them all together.  Cute.

Using more mini ornaments I decorated theses metal trees.  I added a little apple green garland for some more pop too.

On the other end of the same table I filled a bowl with pine cones and added some more mini ornaments for more color pop.  I like the combination of rustic texture with shiny new ornaments.  It also helps transition to the decor in my kitchen.

 The whole tablescape:

Don't worry, I didn't forget the mistletoe.  A simple ribbon that matches the one on the wreath ties it all together.

I also made this ornament wreath (more about it here):

I have a few more ideas if we manage to get a mantle in time for Christmas, but that's a little iffy at this point.  The next post will be the tree...
