The Foyer and The Garage

Hello, we have just a couple rooms to go on the As Is Home Tour!  Today I have two small/less exciting spaces to show: the foyer and the garage.

Let's start in the foyer:

Yes, its simply that, an empty space at the bottom of the stairs.  I have BIG plans for this space though.  We left it open like this in hopes of putting in a built-in desk and shelving unit.  Someday the space would be used as a study by the kids, but until then it would be my crafting area.  The built-ins are wishful thinking at this point, but the space is ready when our bank account is =)

Now, onto the garage.  Definitely not amazing, but I wanted to share my favorite garage idea ever.  I think I read it in Real Simple magazine, or maybe Martha Stewart, but it was a while ago and I can't remember...Anyway, the idea is to use a baker's rack as a garden center.  I happened to have an old baker's rack laying around, and it is the perfect place to house potting soil, spades, pots, gloves, and anything else I could possibly need while gardening.

And, the wide shot of the garage:

This rubbermaid wall system is amazing!  You buy the track and then there are a bunch of different hooks and things to hang from it.  Thank you Home Depot:

Our two-car garage is very much a one-car garage =(  We've made our peace with it, and have added a shed to our long list of things to get to someday.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the yard.  (Not technically a room, but we have put A LOT of work into it).
