The Rest of the Windows

So, after I finished the "Almost No-Sew Roman Shades" for the kitchen windows, there was still the matter of the kitchen door.  Once again, I need to thank Thrifty Decor Chick for the solution to my problem: magnetic curtain rods.

I had no idea such a thing even existed!  But, they do exist (for about $12 at Walmart) and they are perfect for magnetic exterior doors like ours:

So, once again, hem up some curtains to fit the window.  Then, all you have to do is put them up.  No drilling, screws, measuring, etc.  So quick and easy, I am so sad I didn't know about these sooner.

I added a second set of magnetic curtain rods to the bottom to help them hang straight and stay in place.

Here are the finished products in their "open" and "closed" states:

No more nasty sun in our eyes while we eat dinner =)  Oh, yeah, and we have some privacy now too.

If you haven't gotten your fill of window treatments yet, The Nester shared all of her tricks this week too.  Boy, she knows a lot of stuff!
